THE AMBASSADOR OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HAS ALSO PASSED A PLANT IN SUPPORT OF THE GREEN SPACE PROJECT AND SAID THAT HE IS ALWAYS READY TO COOPERATE IN THE PUBLIC EDUCATION SYSTEM

As part of the nationwide Green Space project initiated by President Islam Karimov, Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Public Education, together with British Ambassador Timothy Torlot, planted a sapling in the Garden of Intelligence Garden being built on the territory of Secondary School No. 255 in Tashkent.

The British Ambassador contributed to the good work with his team and Denis Waddingam, Director of the British Council Office in Uzbekistan.

After the event, representatives of the British side and the Ministry of Public Education visited the Tashkent International University of Education near the school, where the parties agreed on the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.

Inviting Minister Sherzod Shermatov to the World Education Forum in London in February 2022, the Ambassador said that he supported the positive changes that have taken place in Uzbekistan in recent years, especially in the public education system, and was always ready for cooperation.

The UK side also expressed its support for climate change projects in light of global changes, and was therefore pleased to be invited to the World of Light event.
