The Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov visited schools in Samarkand and met with teachers and students.
He stressed the need for teachers to constantly work on themselves, to effectively use modern information and communication technologies, to improve their knowledge and skills, and instructed them to use foreign best practices in providing quality education to students.
He also exchanged views with the director of the Samarkand Regional Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Public Education and the head of the regional department of public education and school teachers on plans for the new school year and future priorities. He met with school principals and teachers from Navoi, Andijan, and Namangan regions, as well as in Koshrabat, Kattakurgan, and Nurabad districts of Samarkand region, to teach in non-formal schools.
During the meeting, teachers who have started working in remote and low-level schools of the region gave their suggestions on the work being done to provide modern and quality education to students.
Commemorative gifts were presented to motivate and encourage experienced teachers and gifted students who set an example for their colleagues with their advanced work experience.
