Today at the Ministry of Public Education was held a ceremony of awarding teachers of the winners of the main science Olympiads.

As you know, on January 4-10 this year, the regional stage of the Science Olympiad was held among students of 9-11 grades of secondary schools. A total of 19,711 students from all over the country took part in it, including 628 students in the 9th grade, 477 students in the 10th grade and 500 students in the 11th grade who won the regional stage of the Olympiad. The winners of the regional stage also received tickets to the republican stage of the Olympiad.

The republican stage of the Science Olympiad was held in May-June this year for the first time in Bukhara, Navoi, Namangan, Samarkand regions and Tashkent in order to develop educational tourism among 11th grade students of secondary schools and 2nd grade students of academic lyceums and vocational schools.

At the republican stage of the Olympics, 46 students won. The winners were awarded certificates and valuable prizes, which entitle them to give the maximum score in the specialty in their field of study.

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 3, 2019 4306, teachers of the winners of the republican stage of the Science Olympiad will be awarded one-time cash prizes in the following amounts:

For 1st place - 50 times (12,250,000);

For the 2nd place - 35 times (8,575,000);

For 3rd place - 30 times (7,350,000).

This is the first time this year that this money has been given, and we congratulate all our teachers on this.

The awards were presented to teachers in all regions.
