On the basis of the concept of development of the public education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030, the Ministry of Public Education in recent years has been taking a number of positive measures to develop education and improve the skills of teachers. In particular, the English Speaking Nation program is being implemented in partnership with the US Embassy in Tashkent to improve the skills of English language teachers, and more than 30 foreign experts are currently participating in in-service trainings for foreign language teachers.
Adviser to the Minister of Public Education Ulugbek Kasimkhodjaev to launch the English Summer Excellence Training (ESN: ESET) project on July 31 and to welcome 25 international experts who visited Uzbekistan as part of the project. and met with international experts.
As part of the English Speaking Nation summer training program, 108 hours of intensive training for more than 420 English teachers will be conducted in Andijan, Bukhara, Namangan, Samarkand, Termez, Karshi and Urgench. The goal of the 18-day training is to help teachers improve their English language skills as well as their pedagogical and psychological knowledge. In addition to general English and classroom practice, the ESN: ESET program allows participants to take classes in English and give presentations in English only in complex intensive training sessions.
The Department of Public Education has been working closely with the American Councils for International Education to implement the English Speaking Nation program. American Councils is one of the leading international organizations in the field of international education, academic exchanges and language learning abroad, and serves to strengthen international relations and mutual understanding through scientific, professional and cultural exchanges, language learning, education development and research.
