On July 15, 2021, the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov met with the Deputy Director-General of UNESCO Stefania Jannini.
“Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity” in Tashkent. In the framework of the high-level international conference "Threats and Opportunities", the guests were acquainted with the ongoing reforms and development prospects in the field of education in Uzbekistan.
In particular, the role of UNESCO in the implementation of educational projects in Uzbekistan, the improvement of culture, science and technology was highlighted.
The Minister briefed on possible new areas of cooperation, the development and adaptation of some joint projects.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in developing relations and launching new joint projects.
