MINISTER OF PUBLIC EDUCATION INVESTIGATES THE SITUATION IN SEVERAL SCHOOLS IN YAKKASARAY DISTRICT

On April 12, a working group of the Ministry headed by the Minister of Public Education visited several educational institutions in the Yakkasaray district of the capital.

The study began at District 48 School. He inspected the existing classrooms, library, gym, school kitchen in the educational institution and listened to the problems of teachers. A proposal was made to include the school in the roadmap for capital repairs.

The next address was Secondary School No. 160 in the district. The Minister attended a Geography class to get acquainted with the educational process, and was interested in additional literature that students would read during the interview. The Minister promised the students to send a special gift to the student who memorized the most states and their capitals, asking questions about the states and their capitals.At present, 12 students of the school are pre-term students, 17 students have international certificates in English. He was interested in the level of teachers who were educating students at the school. Primary education teachers were recognized as highly educated. The school administration made suggestions to improve the quality of education.  The school currently operates at a rate of 2.1 and has 2,298 students. There was a need for a sports field, laboratory and computers at the school. Due to the provision of the educational institution with all the necessary equipment and the large number of students, a proposal was made to build an additional building. The working group then studied the conditions and existing problems created for students at the school, which specializes in 25 mentally retarded children. The school underwent a major overhaul in 2013 and currently has 61 teacher-defectologists teaching 240 students. A number of recommendations were made to the school administration to direct students to the profession, in particular, to study the experience of the 5th special school in Kokand. 

The minister also visited the Barkamol Avlod children's school in the neighboring district. Today, the school has 700 students in 26 clubs. The leadership of the ministry got acquainted with the activities of chess, ceramics, bead weaving, IT, costume design, art circles.

During the conversation with the head of the Barkamol Avlod children's school, he suggested that the school for mentally retarded children No. 25 support the development of children and further expand the scope of the school's clubs.

The next address was the 91st Specialized State Secondary School in the district. The 960-seat school, which currently has 1,450 students, is nearing completion. The Minister got acquainted with the construction work of the school and instructed the builders to eliminate shortcomings in the construction work.

During the conversation with the 91st school in Yakkasaray district, which has a high rating, he listened to their views on improving the quality of education, improving the professional skills of teachers. Based on the results of the study of schools in Yakkasaray district, a "Road Map" will be developed in each school, aimed at improving the quality of education, training teachers on the basis of new methods, further improving the spiritual environment, creating decent conditions for students.
