Today, September 14, a meeting was held on the ZOOM platform under the chairmanship of the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov and the Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Rustem Reimov.
It was attended by employees of the ministry, heads of district (city) public education departments and school principals. It is known that starting from the III quarter of the 2019-2020 academic year, varied curricula have been piloted in general secondary schools. The purpose of the introduction of alternative curricula is to create conditions for students to study in depth the subjects they are interested in, to ensure the preparation of graduates for the entrance exam to higher education and to organize the educational process in the upper grades in a career-oriented manner.
It should be noted that this year, 100% of graduates of secondary school No. 56 in Amudarya district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan were admitted to higher education institutions. At the meeting, Sherzod Shermatov spoke with the school principals and their teachers, who have shown good results, and asked what they have focused on in achieving this success.
In addition, during the meeting, he gave his recommendations to schools where graduates have low access to higher education.
