Today, the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov got acquainted with the activities of the State Secondary School specializing in natural sciences.
The school was reorganized by a presidential decree last academic year as a school specializing in chemistry and biology.
The school has also made a number of positive strides in improving the quality of teaching staff, increasing student knowledge, and directing graduates to higher education. Currently, there are 1 teacher with a degree in chemistry, 6 teachers of the highest category, 18 teachers of the first category. In addition to classes specializing in chemistry and biology, the establishment of classes based on a varied curriculum will provide additional opportunities for graduates to enter higher education.
At the same time, the Minister got acquainted with the preparation of the school for the new school year and the conditions created for students. He talked to the teaching staff, exchanged views on the future of the school as a base school in the country in the direction of STEAM, and listened to their suggestions.
In order to strengthen the material and technical base of the school, a computer class, 2 interactive whiteboards and a TV set were donated. At the same time, it was emphasized that in order to improve the quality of education, it is important to attract teachers who are dedicated to their profession, rather than repairs or equipment.
