1905 students study at the 255th school of Yashnabad district. 913 of them are girls. This year, the Ministry of Public Education has provided the school with 16 sewing machines and 2 overlock machines as part of the state program. Today, we witnessed the effective use of these sewing machines by the Ministry of Public Education in a press tour dedicated to the work carried out in schools in the framework of 5 important initiatives of the President.
Within the framework of 5 initiatives, a “Young Tailor” circle has been established at the school, where 30 girls from the 7th grade are taught the secrets of sewing and tailoring on the basis of “Teacher-Apprentice”. Today, sheets and pillowcases are sewn in the club, which not only teaches girls a trade, but also brings financial income to the school.
Despite the fact that the club has not been operating for a long time, the school has earned 110 million soums. This money was raised through the sale of sheets and pillowcases sewn in the circle.
The head of the club Dilnoza Alimova plans to increase this amount to 1 billion a year:
- Initially, the head of the school Dilora Juraeva allocated funds for the activities of the club. After that, we all came together and set clear plans for the activities of the circle. The two overlock machines we currently have are not in use because it is not used in the product we are sewing now, so in the future we plan to start sewing this product in the school sewing circle by producing clothes for babies.
