VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN DISCUSSED

On April 26, the National Press Center hosted a press conference on "Work on violence against children in the public education system." The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Women and Gender Equality, officials of the Ministry of Public Education, UNICEF Representative in Uzbekistan, founder of the Nemolchi.uz project against violence in Uzbekistan, Director General of GGC UNNO and media representatives.

At the beginning of the conference, First Deputy Minister of Public Education Usmon Sharifkhodjaev noted that the country pays great attention to the prevention of violence against children. He thanked Munir Mamedzade, UNICEF Representative in Uzbekistan, for their joint efforts to end the violence.

Munir Mamedzade, UNICEF Representative in Uzbekistan, said he was pleased with the work being done in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Education. At the same time, in order to protect children from violence, he announced the launch of a "hotline" in cooperation with the Republican Diagnostic Center.

Then the chairman of the Senate Committee on Women and Gender Equality Malika Kadyrkhanova told in detail about the prevention of harassment and violence against women and children in our country and the formation of a protection order against them in society.

The event also featured the premiere of a video clip for the Sahar group's song "Ayol", created at the initiative of the Ministry of Public Education, UNICEF, the Internet resource "Nemolchi.uz", GGC UNNO, designed to prevent domestic violence.

At the end of the press conference, all questions from the media were answered in detail by officials.
