A total of 38 students took part in the competition, which is sponsored by the Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by Amur Djalilov, Investment Director of the Direct Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Murodjon Karabaev, Head of the Ministry of Public Education, Khalil Khalmuratov, Deputy Hokim of Khojayli district, officials of the Yoshlik Physical Culture and Sports Society of Uzbekistan and guests.

During the event, demonstration performances of students of Khojayli district sports school were organized and the professional basketball team of Nukus demonstrated their skills and master classes for young people.

Nurzada Kaldibaeva, a 5th grade student of Nukus District School No. 6, who won first place in the online competition under the motto "The road to big sports begins at school" organized by the Ministry of Public Education, was also awarded.

The sports competition "Basketball School League" among students of secondary schools of the Republic of Karakalpakstan will continue in other schools.
