The Deputy Minister of Public Education noted the active cooperation between the Ministry and the US Embassy in the development of foreign language, IT and STEM teaching in Uzbekistan. Ambassador Daniel Rosenblum stressed that the opening of the American Corner in Karshi will play an important role in strengthening relations not only between the two countries, but also between the peoples of the United States and Uzbekistan.

The American Corner in Karshi joins a network of more than 600 government-sponsored open cultural centers. These American Corner Centers, located in more than 140 countries, serve to connect the world to the United States. American centers modeled on modern American libraries receive millions of visitors each year. These state-of-the-art centers provide free access to English-language books, movies, and English-language programs.

Located on the second floor of the Harmonious Generation School, the 230-square-foot space is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It also has a computer lab, a library, a conference room and an education consulting room. The center has resources such as computers, high-speed internet and other modern technologies.
