Students graduating from secondary schools under the Samarkand Regional Department of Public Education were divided into "red", "yellow" and "green" schools according to their access to higher education.

There are 69 secondary schools in Bulungur district. Only one of them falls into the category of "green school", 13 - in the category of "red school". Most of the Red School schools do not have any graduates enrolled in a chronic university for two academic years. One of such schools is the 57th comprehensive school of Bulungur district.

During his visit to Samarkand, Sherzod Shermatov, the Minister of Public Education, visited schools in the region with a negative quality of education, including School No. 57 in Bulungur.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, 33 students graduated from this school, but none of them was able to enter the university. Unfortunately, none of the 29 graduates who graduated in the previous 2018/2019 academic year were recommended for students.

The Minister was interested in the causes of this problem. Discussions revealed that teachers did not work on themselves, that the school principal, who had been in charge for 6 years, was irresponsible, and that no recommendations were made to students on how to use it properly at a time when graduates had access to 5 universities.

School No. 51 in the district reported similar negative results. However, these educational institutions provide opportunities for the educational process, as well as for the material and spiritual support of teachers.

The 11th school, located 60 kilometers from the center of Bulungur district, attracts students not only from the district, but also from the most remote areas of the region, and even from different regions. For example, of the 858 students at the school, 131 are from different districts of the province and 106 are from other provinces. This shows the quality of education in the school, the demands of the leader and the responsible approach of teachers to their profession.

Last academic year, 86 students graduated from the school, and 29 of them, or 33.7%, entered higher education. It increased by 6-7% from the previous year. There is a healthy competitive environment among the school community, with continuous improvement of skills and experience, and effective extracurricular science clubs for students. This, of course, expands the range of achievements being made in the institution.

The Minister of Public Education, Sh. Shermatov, acknowledged the school's achievements and made recommendations. In particular, from now on, candidates for the position of director of “red school” schools will be nominated for the position of “green”, ie practical deputies of schools with high quality of education, young, enterprising, well-educated teachers with three years of leadership in district and city councils. He noted that the practice of appointments will be established in defense of development programs.

In this regard, the Bulungur Experience was first established in Samarkand, and the deputy principals of Secondary School No. 11 were nominated for the position of directors of “red school” institutions with advanced experience, knowledge and high professional skills, and young teachers.
