6 STUDENTS FROM UZBEKISTAN PARTICIPATE IN THE 18TH INTERNATIONAL INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD OF NATURAL SCIENCES

The 18th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 12 to 21 December this year. The International Olympiad aims to test the complex knowledge of students in the natural sciences, ie chemistry, biology and physics, and to create a healthy environment for schoolchildren to compete in these disciplines around the world.

According to the organizers of the International Olympics, this year's Olympics will be held in a hybrid format, ie one team leader from each participating country will participate directly, and team members and 2 team leaders will participate online.

A total of 400 participating students, 500 team leaders and observers from about 70 countries are participating in the International Junior International Science Olympiad.

This International Olympiad will be held in 3 rounds:

✅ 30 test assignments for participants in the first round;

✅5 theoretical tasks in the second round;

✅ In the third round will be given practical assignments in natural sciences.

The selection of members of the national team of Uzbekistan to participate in the International Olympiad was held on September 18 in Fergana.

6 students with the highest results were admitted to the national team of Uzbekistan.

✅Abdullah Mahmudov (student of IDUM 81, Tashkent);

✅Akhror Bahodirov (student of the boarding school for young biologists and chemists named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, Tashkent);

✅Alibek Norbutaev (student of IDUM 1, Kitob district, Kashkadarya region)

✅Daler Rakhimov (Bukhara region, Bukhara city, student of school 35)

✅Shahzoda Hakimova (student of the boarding school for young biologists and chemists named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, Tashkent)

✅Sohibjon Dilmurodov (student of the Presidential School in Tashkent, Tashkent)

In 2019, the national team of Uzbekistan participated in the International Junior Olympiad in Natural Sciences for the first time and won one bronze medal.
