As you know, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is currently on an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the visit, a solemn opening ceremony of a new school built under the auspices of the Republic of Tajikistan in Urgut district of Samarkand region was held via video link to Dushanbe.
The official opening ceremony of the school was held by the two heads of state pressing a symbolic button.
The opening ceremony in Uzbekistan was attended by a delegation led by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Minister of Public Education, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, officials of the Samarkand regional administration and the media.
The new 640-seat educational institution was built in accordance with modern requirements and is equipped with a 3-storey building, 26 classrooms, chemistry, biology, physics laboratory rooms, ICT, gym, kitchen.
Representatives of the two countries got acquainted with the conditions created for students at the school.
It will be recalled that a secondary school built at the expense of Uzbekistan in September last year was built and commissioned in the Sughd region of Tajikistan.
