On April 21 this year, a job fair under the motto "From skillful hands - to loving hands" was held at the specialized boarding school for children with disabilities 103 in Yashnabad district of Tashkent.
The main purpose of the fair is to encourage students with disabilities to earn a living.
The job fair featured hand-made household items, confectionery, fine arts, sewing, knitting, and modern clothing made by students.
Pupils made hairdressing, confectionery, carpentry, weaving, sewing and handicrafts in the special classrooms of the boarding school where they study.
The participants of the job fair acknowledged that the products made by artisan students are not only exhibited, but also put up for sale.
At the end of the event, teachers and coaches who individually engaged students interested in learning a profession, trained them in manual labor and directed them to the profession were awarded.
Visitors to the fair bought items made by students for about 10 million soums. These funds will be used to purchase raw materials to further develop students ’professional learning.
