It should be noted that today in the country there are 86 cases, including 4 cases of impaired mobility and speech defects, 14 cases of blind and visually impaired, 18 cases of deaf and hard of hearing and 50 cases of mental retardation and 22 cases of dementia. There are sanatorium-type educational institutions with 28,159 students. These institutions also provide individual home-based education to 8,668 children with disabilities.
The following measures have been taken to create adequate conditions for the education of children with physical or mental disabilities.

I. On strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions:
- In 2021, a total of 101.2 billion soums will be allocated from the state budget and sponsors to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions. soums were allocated;
- In 2018-2021, 28.9 billion soums will be allocated from the state budget in 9 educational institutions. soums worth of construction and repair works were carried out;
- With the help of the Zamin International Public Foundation, modern computer classrooms, robotics equipment and textbooks were provided in educational institutions for deaf and hard of hearing children;
- Specialized boarding schools for 11 deaf and hard of hearing children are equipped with special hearing aids;
- 2000 deaf and hard of hearing children were provided with hearing aids with the support of the International Public Foundation "Zamin";
- A computer center has been set up at a boarding school for blind children in Tashkent;
- 14 specialized educational institutions for blind children were provided with 3,000 pieces of special equipment (pencils and instruments);
- All institutions are provided with high-speed fiber-optic Internet.
So what is being done today to improve the quality of education in specialized educational institutions for children with disabilities?
- In the 2021/2022 academic year alone, 214 students with mild illnesses were involved in inclusive education and placed in secondary schools. Today, the total number of students enrolled in inclusive education is 808.
- Starting from the current academic year, an inclusive education system has been introduced as a pilot project in one of the secondary schools located in cities and districts of Tashkent;
- 324.5 thousand copies of textbooks in 360 titles were published for students of specialized educational institutions for children with disabilities;
- Curricula and programs have been optimized and reduced by an average of 12%;
- A total of 11,664 teaching aids were delivered to home-schooled students.
- In order to digitize the educational process, to reduce paperwork, educational institutions have been transferred to the platform of digital education (electronic journal).

Today, all of the above types of educational institutions have sewing, carpentry, cooking, and craft clubs to train students in the profession, and they are equipped with all the necessary equipment;
- Out of 6,348 graduates in 2018-2021, 380 were admitted to vocational schools, 9 to academic lyceums, 62 to colleges, 23 to technical colleges, and 240 to higher education institutions.
