A seminar-meeting, devoted to the organization of children’s summer holidays, was held in Tashkent.

The event, organized by the Council of the Tashkent city trade union, was attended by representatives of sanitation and epidemiology, public health, internal affairs bodies, education and others.

Chairman of the Board of the Tashkent city association of trade unions N. Nasimov and others noted that the extensive work carried out under the leadership of President Islam Karimov for the full education of youth, to strengthen their health, was yielding good results. These aspects are reflected in the organization of useful and interesting free time of children during the summer season.

As elsewhere in the country, Tashkent is also preparing for the season of summer camps. In 20 suburban and 36 schoolyards, more than 42,000 boys and girls are expected to spend summer vacation. Along with it, the recreation in scenic areas for children from Aral Sea area will be provided.

The seminar-meeting reviewed in detail the issues of completing the preparatory work for opening the season by 25 May, providing the camps with drinking water, quality food products, fruits and vegetables, essential equipment, teaching tools, sporting equipment, as well as organization of medical examination of teachers and educators, technical workers, leaders, sports coaches, managers clubs, professional information and resource centers.
